A native of Washington State, I now flow with the tide of the Caribbean, aboard a Freedom sailboat called Domino .
With my husband, Tom, I left frozen New England just before Christmas 2013, and spent the winter sailing south along the Intracoastal Waterway.
While on board I’ve been known to write, and I’m the author of the Iris Winterbek Adventures series.
My articles and essays have appeared in local, regional and national publications. Publisher’s Weekly kindly called one of my essays a “gem.” That gem, originally published in the Traveler’s Tales anthology, Sand In My Bra, is also available – in slightly different form – in Panic In Any Other Language, my ebook of essays about traveling in Italy.
